Join Hands For Maryknoll Fundraising Campaign

Dear Maryknollers and Friends of Maryknoll,

I will like to start with thanking each individual and every organization for their support to the Join Hands For Maryknoll Fundraising Campaign 2011-2015.  Between 1 January 2011 and March 2015 the Trust received $11,289,806  from various fundraising activities .  We have surpassed our target to raise over $10,000,000 to finance both Primary and Secondary school for five years. The great success of these events is due to the amazing generosity and dedication of the MCS community.  We could not have come so far without the many alumni and volunteers who contributed their time, creativity and expertise.
Fundraising highlights of the past five years include: "Art Exhibition (Primary Section), "Walkathon (Primary Section)", "Adopt a Bench Project (Secondary Section)" and "Pun Choi Jumbo Feast".  On February 8th 2015 Pun Choi Jumbo Feast,  the Trust happily celebrated the school’s 90th Anniversary with 119 tables of Alumni and friends of Maryknoll.
The Maryknoll Convent School Educational Trust relies on fund-raising events and activities to support special projects within the school.  The Trust has not only upgraded and increased facilities for students; we have also engaged in a continuous effort to provide financial assistance to both the primary and secondary sections of our school.   Over the past years, the Trust has enabled the school to hire additional teaching staff(s) for English, Math and Putonghua, part-time Librarian and staff for the School-based Educational Psychology & Clinical Psychology Support Services for the primary and secondary sections.  These projects have significantly benefited our students, teachers and parents. In addition, since 2012, the Trust has begun to support the professional development and duty visits for primary and secondary teachers & staff, which enable the schools to provide a strong academic environment, retain highly qualified faculty and ensure teaching at Maryknoll remains at a high standard.
Please know that every contribution to the MCS Educational Trust makes a difference and enhances the education of current and future students - part of the great legacy of our Maryknoll Sisters.  Thank you  once again and look forward to your continued support in the future.
With warm wishes and blessings,

Ms Emily Ngan
